Love this Cafe. Small, yes, but the ambiance and service is wonderful. Food and coffee tastes awesome. Clean, accommodating, great seating outdoors when the weather is a little warmer. Wait time for food and drinks is minimal, even when busy, and they never mess up the order. VERY disappointed they were closed today on Sunday MLK Day observance which is actually Monday. Confused.
Delicious
Excellent coffee and service. Very friendly.
It’s a more than solid breakfast and coffee place. Consistently very good regardless of what I order.
Family run business Java Point Cafe is THE BEST coffee/breakfast/lunch place in Benicia Ca !Adorable staff that love what they do. Great food (it's a small place so there is a wait at times, but it so worth it. The coffee is delicious and they make it the way you like it.I've been
Great people and food. Only issue is the door opens in, and if you're carrying coffees, it's hard to get out without help... ;-)
Very disappoineted. Came in hungry, trying to go and start my day. My meal took forever to prepare and I seen multiple people who ordered fully cooked plates after me get served first. Complete waist of my time & money
Good coffee, crazy crowded.
Good coffee and decent food.
Stopped for coffee and breakfast delicmatish
I was exploring Benicia on my own and wanted to have a cup of coffee, but definitely not from Starbucks. Then I came across this place. This cafe is sweet and homie. The workers are super friendly, as are the costumers. The coffee is flavorful, and the food is worth the wait (somewhere between 15-20 minutes). If you mind waiting for your food, go to Starbucks. But if you don't mind, this is the place to go. You can bring a book with you, and won't get kicked out. Bring friends or family (pets too)!
Cramped and no menu to look at. You have to decide what you want while people are behind you waiting and you can’t even see what it looks like.
The best coffee, ☕ cakes, blueberry scones in town! Hands down.. They we're open at 7:30 on a weekday, phone order was hot and ready real quick, the coffee was on point. Always a good experience, thank you Java point!! 🤙
I have been here about 10 times on several trips to Benicia while staying at the union hotel almost across the intersection. There is a good selection of coffee and tea and pastries. I have had breakfast only once and enjoyed one of their egg Benedict choices. I see all the pastries and forget they have a good size selection of breakfast and lunch items. There is not a lot of space inside and outside is usually in the shade. I will be back!
Was recommended this place by a colleague and boy did it not disappoint. First time ever in my life that I have tried a crab omelette and it was DELICIOUS :D
The Caesar salad was amazing. Best salad in the world. GO TO JAVA POINT
Small cute cafe, my husband and I loved the food. I ordered the vegetarian benedict and he had the crab omelette (real crab!) They were very busy and it took a bit for the food to come out but well worth the wait. The cashier gave us a heads up as well that there was a 30 min wait for food so we were prepared. A definite re-visit
Delicious breakfast/brunch. We drove from San Leandro to Benicia, had brunch and spent a day near the water and walked round the quaint little town. Very enjoyable.
I hadn't been here in years. Must visit more often. They were flexible with my dietary needs and made my food special I as appreciate that.Good food, great coffee cake
This jewel of a coffee spot is tucked away from the popular masses off the honest coastline of Benicia. The town is indicative of Carmel in its canine friendly culture but there the buck stops. Modest prices with tasty food offerings that can manage most substantial appetites. Yes, the coffee is superb connating the resistance to the corporate variety movement. The staff enjoy their work and carry earnest smiles and good cheer. I helped myself to a mocha and the, little one, a hot chocolate. Both tasted as if the chocolate cherub had dipped his angelic toe within for sugar sweet goodness.
Excellent food and service. This is my 3rd time and I've ordered something different each time. Always delicious...never disappointed.
Worth the wait, you won't be disappointed! As soon as you walk in you can tell it's a small place owned by real people who really care about what they serve to their customers. It was a bit of a wait but that's only because it was during peak hours (they were kind enough to let us know about wait times without us asking). Their mocha was delicious, honestly the best mocha coffee I've ever had. Only my second time trying eggs Benedict but those were bomb too! The potatoes are a thing of their own, very savory and just right for brunch. I'm definitely making this place a checkpoint from now on. (My girl's berry waffle was great too)👍 ...maybe some mimosas?
Really good nice back patio
Food is quite good and not expensive, and the 2 ducks out front are friendly as well
Order the garlic butter jumbo shrimp. It's delicious! The seasoning is perfect, not too salty or oily. The girl who took my order was also very nice. Highly recommend this place!
At 11am, was told at the order counter, there would be a 40 to 50 minute wait "because the kitchen". Will not return.
Had traditional Eggs Benedict and found it to be spot on. Served on a croissant which was nice and buttery and soaked up the yolks perfectly.
Whats better than a plate full of delicious food from Javapoint? Well, its an empty plate at the end of your feast! If you are heading to the east bay, it is essential to pass by this brunch gem! Great food and coffee, wonderful service, locally owned and operated, what more can you ask for?
Excellent quality food.
This place is wonderful!! The food, drinks, and staff are all great. It is a small little restaurant but always busy. The workers are efficient and get your food to you quickly. There isn't much seating and the inside is rather cramped. I can hardly bring my stroller in there.
Location location location!! This cafe is perfectly situated in downtown Benecia. There's seating in and outdoors. The food was delicious. I placed my order and took a walk in the neighborhood while I waited for my food. I orderes french toast was perfect! I'm going back to try the crab omelet. The 30 minute wait went by fast because I used that time to check out the scenery. The view of the Carquinez Bridge and surrounding hills on a clear day was the best.
Great food + atmosphere
Order at the counter and wait outside for your food. Love coming here after morning kiddo drop off with my Gf's to catch up over a vanilla latte.
Outstanding banana bread ... u won't be disappointed ...
This local cafe is one of my favorites. It can get crowded since it is pretty small on the inside. (But a crowded cafe is a good sign, right?) I've frequented this spot on a number of occasions and haven't been disappointed by the food, the beverages, nor the service. My sister and I shared the berry waffle, which was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. With a beverage each, the waffle satisfied both our appetites.
In town on business and just walked by. The smell dragged me in (with little dragging).Never too late for a latte so jumped on one and the food smell and views I could see were very appetizing. The menu was well represented with meat to Veggie offerings. So i ordered an Avacado melt. Just do it. It was remarkable, fresh, crisp. Just perfect. So, if you are in the area.stop and see them. Could not recommend it more highly.
Great food!
This cafe offers one of the best fusion of Filipino and American breakfast and lunch. The servers are very pleasant. When ever you are in Benicia, you should not miss this place.
Fresh quality food in a pretty area. No bathrooms though.
One of the best lattes in Benicia.Employees are always friendly and happy.Parking lot in the back.WiFi.
Always good service and food. Clean and organized! EMPLOYEES always friendly.
Great little spot for good breakfast and brunch fix. The wait can be a little ridiculous at times but the food and coffee are worth it.
The food is delicious and offers various omelettes, sandwiches, and other breakfast cafe favorites. They also incorporate some Filipino flair and include longanisa in their menu. Be aware the place is small, requires you to order from the counter, and seat yourself on a first come basis. However, they bring the food to your table and serve you as needed. Give it a try and you won't regret it!
This is a "must" whenever I make a detour to Benicia. I tried the special Filipino breakfast (Tapsilog) on my last visit and basked in the wonderful flavors of the marinated beef, the bright sunny side up egg and the abundant garlic rice, complemented with fresh tomatoes and other pickled vegetables. The warm, welcoming family told me that it is their mom's unique recipe. I am so thankful that this gracious lady has shared it to the delight of all the café's faithful customers.
Absolutely gorgeous coffees. I also had the veggie eggs benedict... it was divine!
Really good coffee and tasty food, a great place to relax and bath in the sun light
Very good cappuccino and great cookies
Nice place in Benicia, Ca
Love the location, the food, the prices, and the coffee! The only downfall is just not enough seating for the number of people who visit this cafe. Granted they do have a nice outdoor seating area which is well maintained.
Small place , but worth the wait for a table. The staff seemed friendly and the place looked clean. I tried one of their specialty breakfast on that day which was the Tapsilog, and it was delicious. Their gourmet coffee was magnificent. Will definitely recommend this place to others to try.
